Who is involved in ASP?
Members
We offer membership to people - not organisations! It is people who make decisions and choices, especially in organisations, but also in their private lives, and this is where we wish to focus. Sustainability starts with awareness and consciousness of the choices we as individuals make at home and and work.
Membership is open to people from all disciplines whose work relates well to ASP's mission and who wish to work collaboratively. You can join as either a Community Member or an Associate. See
JOIN ASP for the details.
To become an Associate, people will have to demonstrate:
a thoughtful and proactive approach to transformational change
a commitment to continuous learning as we act, including personal, group and community perspectives
a commitment to the values in the membership agreement (Openness, honesty, respect, trust, collaboration and sharing)
Academic qualifications (e.g. higher degrees in Environmental Science, Business Responsibility etc.) are not pre-requisites for membership. All members are valued equally. The Associates include people in leadership, management, marketing, finance, research, teaching, speakers/authors, facilitation and consultancy. Public, private and voluntary sectors are all represented.
