What is ASP?
ASP exists because there are increasing numbers of people who feel concerned about the mismatch between what we know about the world, and the way that we live in it. The explosion of networks, books, events, jargon and information about how things could or should change is bewildering.
ASP is a response to the apparent need for a connective system dedicated to the support of people who are otherwise independent. It aims to demonstrate the potential for living more in sympathy with our environment across cultural boundaries by acting out an alternative way of working.
ASP aims to create opportunities for people to co-operate, and so benefit by:
Combining with others to accelerate change
Co-operating to win work
Co-operating to win funding for research/work
Providing a mutual Quality Assurance of work
Offering peer to peer support and personal development
Co-ordinating Information exchange and learning
ASP's Vision
Uniting people around world views that honour and value our place in nature.
Our Purpose
ASP promotes learning that transforms behaviour from unsustainable to sustainable* practices.
We create Learning Events that promote sharing, contribution and learning in all aspects of sustainability between corporations, academia, government agencies and individuals.
Our Mission
ASP brings about these transformations in as many economically active people as possible through its association and membership network.
Our Organisation
ASP is designed to work like the natural systems around us. It is shaped by its membership and is based on strong social contracts between associates and members involving a commitment of time to each other and a disciplined approach to learning and review.

ASP is a not-for-profit organisation that offers a range of benefits to its asociates and members, and through their skill and experience, offers support to organisations learning to deal with new management and leadership challenges in the 21st century.
Our organisation is minimal so we can focus our resources on creating value for our associates and members
ASP belongs to its associates, so ASP is both the resource and responsibility of the associates. ASP continually adapts to the learning and creative input of its members and promotes personal and professional development. ASP actively connects with like-minded networks in pursuit of its purpose.
*Sustainability is understood to include all definitions that do not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Social Justice is regarded as an integral part of sustainability.
